How do parents get tax statements? Parents can generate and download their annual childcare expense statement for IRS Form 2441 (Child and Dependent Care Expenses) with 1 click directly in the app or via the support concierge.

How long does onboarding take? Under 10 minutes. The guided 8-step setup assistant walks directors through school details, pickup hours, feature switches, staff permissions, staff invites, family invites, and initial posts.

Can we switch from Brightwheel, Procare, or Lillio? Yes! Our automated migration assistant imports rosters and family contacts seamlessly with zero paper hassle.

How does Curbside Pickup work? When arriving at the curb, parents tap "🚗 I'm at the Curb" in the app. The classroom tablet and teacher smart watch receive an instant notification with vehicle make/model, child name, and verified 4-digit PIN.

Forgot your PIN? Parents can regenerate their curbside PIN instantly in Family settings or through the Ask Nido concierge.

Who can pick up my child? Each child has an authorized Crew (up to 2 guardians by default, expandable to 3 with office approval) authorized for legal digital sign-out.

Can grandparents view daily photos? Yes! Use Family Circle to generate a view-only 10-character code valid for 14 days. Circle members can see photos and milestones without sign-out authority.

Do parents need to download an app? No! On iPhone, parents can scan a classroom QR code or tap the Smart App Banner to launch the native Apple App Clip (under 15MB) with zero installation. On Android, tap "Try Now" on Google Play to launch Google Play Instant.

How is attendance tracked legally? Attendance uses cryptographic timestamped vector signatures compliant with state licensing requirements (e.g. California Title 22).

How do I report an absence? In the app, open Today > Mark Absent, choose your dates and reason, and tap Send in under 10 seconds.

How is sensitive data protected? All health slips, immunization records, allergy notes, and emergency contacts are sealed client-side using AES-256-GCM envelope encryption. Plaintext is never stored unencrypted on servers.

What languages are supported? Vedo supports 40 full UI languages and 115 live translation languages with bidirectional RTL support for Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, and Urdu.
